Graham Drake bought with him a tool box????? He questioned us on the names and uses of tools for laying Carpet and linoleum.
Grant gave us a run down on his recent trip to Napier for the 4 Square Conference.  There were great speakers and talks of keeping the connections with their customers by having loyalty programmes in the future, Installing better ordering systems for stocking stores therefore enabling better delivery times for stock.

Art is to the mind what work is to the hand. Either way if you dont engage creativity you dull your senses and waste will come of it.

MESSAGE FROM YOUR EDITOR:
I'm sorry you haven't received a bulletin for a few weeks. I have had laptop issues but hopefully that is all sorted now.

I hope you are enjoying reading the weekly bulletin. If you have any ideas on how we can improve on it please let me know and I would be very happy to implement if possible.

Some weeks we have little to no photos to include in the bulletin and when this happens I was thinking it would be nice if you would like to have a section for personal photos. Photos of perhaps personal projects, family celebrations, holidays and trips etc. This way we can all learn more about each other.  If you have photos you would like to include please email to me at  traceyrees17@gmail.com

MEETING NOTES 4 May 2021:

Hosted to night by Gloria in Noels absence.

PRESENT: 8 Members

APOLOGIES: LeAnne. Jim C, Noel, Graham M, Kevin, Stuart, Warren & Diane, Tracey

GRACE: Brian

MENU: Bacon & Egg Pie, Potato au Gratin and Salad, and for dessert was Icecream, chocolate eclairs and a taste test for Gloria of Stewed Rhubarb, Feijoa and Apple for making crumbles.
Results: Nice but a bit too sweet.  Gloria will cut down on the sugar.

HAPPIES AND SADS:
Jim S – He is Happy
Grant – Sad – Single again
Mel – Happy watched his Grandson play Rugby League and his team won.
Donald – Happy – a photo in Daily News questioning who the young ladies were.  Turned out to be his mum Orel on the right.

BUSINESS:
Pink Ribbon Raffle and BBQ.  I asked if members were able to support the raffle by  bringing 1 or more non perishable grocery items and I will make up a food hamper.  Already have a big pink flexi tub.  Can you please bring them to next weeks meeting.  Thankyou

Gloria to follow up with Denise Loveridge re Marinoto 50 year birthday. What is happening?

Mentoring has recommenced at IPS with New Horizons Aotearoa.  Thankyou to Noel, Jim C, Rose and myself for committing to assist.

As I was hosting and no speaker was in, I thought it would be great to talk about dates and events  for my year as President:  A great discussion was had and the suggestions were fabulous. This was a few items that came from it:

00 alcohol beer and wine is available through Grant.  A selection will be put in when we next need supplies.

Mel advised that we  have a working account for the Trust at Kiwibank but will check if it can be changed into a working account for the Club or will have to open a new one. This was created due to being told we couldnt get eftpos machines through the TSB for the car show, BUT we can and did for this year.  So account for Trust at Kiwibank now really invalid.

More outings instead of being in house: Suggestions were Tractor Museum, Gallahar Cars on Egmont Rd, Tarata, Morattis Contracting, Lake Ratapiko, Lake Rotokare, Kevins new workshop, Meta Engineering, Taranaki Civil, Pukeiti, Beachside somewhere when its warm, Interclub visits.

Should we be parking cars at Americarna?  Some were in favour so maybe we could find some eager helpers to help us with the aim of passing the baton.

Car Show date is suggested as Sunday 30th January 2022.  I asked if we should set up a FB page just for the Charity Car Show.  I will chase this up with Tracey and Kevin as it will allow us to focus more on our sponsors on the page with car enthusiasts.
Beneficiary for 2022:  Suggestion was Rotary House “RAISE THE ROOF” - As it is a community asset would be fantastic to tell the story of  it  from its beginnings with Rotary assisting the Old Folks Association to build it.

RYPEN – Need younger people to stay overnight – and a bigger roll up of Inglewood Rotarians is essential on Saturday night.,

Members News:

Message from Leanne - Larger tupperware or storage containers wanted.
I've been busy filling requests for family size meals for a number of organisations and could really do with some large containers with lids (bigger than an icecream container) that I can freeze large family meals into then give them away. Anyone have anything suitable cluttering up their cupboard they'd like to give away?
