Jim C – Inglewood street names that are not native trees !!
Jim C – Spoke on his visit to Okurakura.  Went on a real bike ride as opposed to virtual ones.  He has had family staying for 3 or 4 weeks while their house is being repaired.   Update on New Horizons.
Donald - “Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy.  You vote in elections once a year but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in”

MESSAGE FROM YOUR EDITOR:

I hope you are enjoying reading the weekly bulletin. If you have any ideas on how we can improve on it please let me know and I would be very happy to implement if possible.

Some weeks we have little to no photos to include in the bulletin and when this happens I was thinking it would be nice if you would like to have a section for personal photos. Photos of perhaps personal projects, family celebrations, holidays and trips etc. This way we can all learn more about each other.  If you have photos you would like to include please email to me at  traceyrees17@gmail.com

BUSINESS:
Gloria spoke about the end of term New Horizons function that was to be held at Rotokare.  Due to the weather this had to be cancelled. Gloria had cooked for up to 60 people and had 3 large pots ready filled with beef stew and curried sausages.  Due to cancellation it was given to the Community Fridge at Mamaku Centre.  She is to be reimbursed for the meat.

Rotary House – the rest of the new roof has gone on this week.  The new meter board is due to be completed this week as well.  A tidy up at Rotary House will be held this Friday morning at 10.15am

It was decided that the Club would support the funding of sending masks to Fiji as a COVID response.  The rational being that all approx 50 clubs contributed $100 each, their $5000 target would be reached.  Moved Jim S, seconded Bill “That we pay $100 to the RNZWCS Covid-19 crises response for Fiji”  Carried.

Members News:

Message from Leanne - Larger tupperware or storage containers wanted.
I've been busy filling requests for family size meals for a number of organisations and could really do with some large containers with lids (bigger than an icecream container) that I can freeze large family meals into then give them away. Anyone have anything suitable cluttering up their cupboard they'd like to give away?
